Message From The Director Building a sense of belonging and community drives the design of our work and programming. Horseback riding in the backcountry, sleeping out under the stars, soaking up sunset in a hammock, basking in the moon glow over Soda Lake, scaling a natural rock wall, and a whole lot more. You will grow and find a sense of self and belonging: by living in a small-group community; by developing new lifelong friendships and; by becoming a part of something truly infinite. Camp GROW’s programs are progressive – challenging campers to try new activities each year. Our Board President recently took me for a ride up to the Green River Lakes Trailhead and showed me the sparkling Green River as it flowed from the mouth of the Bridger Wilderness. We stood at the gate to where your adventure begins. My mind was racing, and my heart was sailing as I thought of all the things we will do next summer and in the years to come. As I stood there humbled by the majesty of Square Top Mountain, I knew I had found a new place where I could belong, a new place to call home. Summer Camp Informational Webinars Join us on January 23, 2025, at 12:00pm MST for our first Summer Camp Informational webinar of the year! This informal chat is designed to update families on all of the new programs and activities that will be introduced (did someone say expedition backpacking?), as well as information on all of the changes that can be expected in 2025 including facility upgrades, new policies and procedures, new programs and activities, and so much more! With four webinar options available to accommodate schedules, we highly encourage you to attend one timeslot and stay connected to Camp GROW, and get all of your burning questions answered. While the informational session will be geared toward adults, kiddos are welcome to join! Please reach out to [email protected] to set something up. Summer Camp Registration Is Now Open Registration for the 2025 season of Camp GROW is officially OPEN!!! Join us as we celebrate another epic summer adventure around the campfire. With updated programs, new expedition camps, and much more, the summer is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before. Registration is already exceeding previous seasons and we fully anticipate sessions to SELL OUT this season, with a waiting list for those who do not sign up early.
Expedition Camps In a small group of up to 10 campers, guided by two experienced instructors, participants will hike four to six hours each day, traversing breathtaking landscapes and even reaching a mountain summit! The itinerary balances challenging hike days with “layover” days, where campers can explore nearby peaks or alpine lakes with lighter day packs. Each evening, they’ll set up camp in picturesque locations, working together to pitch tents and prepare meals on backcountry stoves. Along the way, campers will learn vital skills such as adapting to changing weather, practicing safe backcountry travel, mastering Leave No Trace principles, enhancing teamwork, and building a deep appreciation for nature. The experience ends with a float trip in rafts down the world-class Green River as we take in the scenic views and wildlife and spend the day fishing! Space is limited. Ride the trails, build lifelong friendships! This two-week program is designed for campers, ages 15-17, eager to deepen their understanding of equestrian care and riding techniques while actively supporting the Wrangler staff and riding program. As a WIT, you’ll develop essential leadership skills in the barn, on the trail, and with fellow campers, all while learning how to encourage and support others in Camp GROW’s fun, positive, and challenging Wrangler environment. *More information will soon be live on our website.
